Since 2005, the YTF  has been successful in securing state and federal grants to fully support our efforts.  Over the past 13 years, we are proud that we have secured a total of over 2.25 million dollars for youth substance abuse prevention initiatives on Martha's Vineyard.  We believe our success in accessing funding has been largely due to creating and  maintaining positive relationships in the community and implementing proven effective strategies.  As a result of YTF’s prevention work, drinking rates among MV students in grades 9-12 have dropped from 55%  in 2007 to 34% in 2018. Unfortunately, however, due to changes in federal funding availability, we are currently left with a gap in annual funding of $125,000, which is approximately half of our annual budget.
